Participation in school athletics teaches kids the importance of movement and physical fitness.
When these values are emphasized to students, it's much more likely that they will stick with these habits as they grow.

Athletics is considered to be mother of all games and is in fact the way of living and not just a sport. An Athlete is an all-round sportsperson with skills for cricket, football, tennis and has immense control of his body and senses. Athletics not only builds you physically but it helps in body coordination and gives you mental stiffness.

Athletics is an exclusive collection of sporting events that involve competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and race walking.

In The Century School, we have different types of indoor & Outdoor games.

Sports & Games

It is a firm conviction of The Century School that physical activity through sports and games is an essential ingredient for the personality development of every student. We believe that academics and sports are compatible and complementary in recognising the child's potential. Activity on playfield instils the qualities of team work, leadership, dedication, discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem.

In Track & Field Event, we have 100m, 1500m & 3000m races as well as long jump, shot put, Javelin throw & Discus Throw.
